PINNED BENEATH CAR

JOCKEY’S BACK BROKEN CAPSIZE OF VEHICLE (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, last night. When proceeding from Woodlands to Dunedin, a motor car driver mistook the deviation at the Kaihiku bridge and the car turned turtle. Two men, A. Welsh, aged 21, and S. T. Phillips, aged 20, were pinned underneath. Mr. Phillips, who is a jockey, suffered a broken back. Edward Phillips, also a jockey, who was driving, sustained a broken shoulder. Mr. Welsh received minor injuries. The Phillips brothers were admitted to the Balclutha Hospital.
