Tremendous cheering and handclapping all the way along the route ■greeted His Majesty on returning from No. 10 Downing Street, where the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain shook hands with him on the doorstep as he was leaving for Buckingham Palace. Callers at No. 10 Downing Street this afternoon included Mr. Winston Churchill, the Air Minister, Sir Kingsley Wood, the chief of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sir Cyril Ncwall, the chief of the Imperial General StafT. Viscount Gort, the Home Secretary, Sir Samuel Hoare, Mr. W. S. Morrison, the .Minister of War, Mr. Ii llore-Belishai the First Lord of Ihe Admiralty, Earl Stanhope, and the Minister for Co-ordination of Defence, Lord Chatfield. The Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain and Mrs. Chamberlain left No. 10 Downing Street at 5.50 p.m. and drove off to Parliament accompanied by a roll of cheering and cries of “God bless you,” and “good luck.” Tiie Presg Association understands that Parliament will re-assemble at 11 a.m. to-morrow. Territorials have been catted up for service.
