“BEER WAR” STILL ON
WELLINGTON WORKERS
IMPERIAL PINT DEMAND (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Notwithstanding the action of the licensed victuallers in increasing the size of the “handle” of beer, the Wellington watersiders to-day passed a resolution reaffirming their decision to continue the boycott. The impromptu meeting was attended by between 600 and 700. The demand is that the -price be 6d an Imperial pint. It was further decided that the -trade be brought under the Weights and Measures Act. The Wellington timber workers decided to support the boycott till the price is satisfactorily adjusted.
