AIM OF PENDING BILL TRANSPORT AMENDMENT (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. “The fundamental principle underlying the Transport Amendment Bill, which has received the approval of caucus, and will foe introduced in the House of Representatives next week, is the (better control on roads and better enforcement aimed exclusively at giving greater safety on the highways,” the Minister of Transport, the Hon. R. Semple, stated, after the Government caucus had been held this morning.

Mr. 'Semple added that he could not see anything controversial in the measure because he was confident there could be no .political warfare on s bill which aimed at greater safety for the .public.
