TILE WEATHER Last Night’s Forecast General situation. —Pressure is relatively low and uniform over New Zealand. A very deep depression situated immediately to the east of Tasmania is moving slowly in a southeasterly) direction. Forecast.—Winds north-westerly to northerly .predominating over the North Island, north-easterly over the South Island, force light to moderate, but gradually 'freshening in the south. Seas' in Neiw Zealand waters slight to moderate. In Ihe eastern Tasman light to moderate north-westerly winds, slight seas in ‘the northern portion, freshening north-easterly winds and moderate but rising seas in the southern portion. Weather: Some scattered rain or drizzle possible in my! districts, otherwise mainly fair tc cloudy; morning low cloud or foe possible on the east const cf the South Island.
