Urging the need of loyalty to lho church, the ißev. A. B. Kilroy, of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Wellington. said there was a rising tide of paganism in the world to-day. It was impossible la say with certainty that the church would never again- 'be persecuted in British lands. Whether it. liked it or not, the church was being farced back on itself in an increasingly hostile world. Not only in Europe, tout in countries where it was least expected, this hostility manifested iitself.
