THIRD GRADE RUGBY

REPRESENTATIVE MATCH PLAYERS FOR TRAINING The Poverty Bay third grade Rugby representatives will play their only fixture of the season on September 9, wheh the local fifteen will be pitted against the Suburbs club team from. Auckland, a strong and weighty -side which is expected to provide the representative team with plenty of tough opposition. The standard of play in the third grade series has been gratifyingly high this season and confidence is felt in the ability of the home team to give a strong demonstration of the standard of lower grade Rugby in the Bay. Players in training for selection in the Poverty Bay team have been announced as f allows by Mr. 11. Airey, sole selector for the third grade representatives:—

Backs. Hansen, Johnston, J. Knight, (H.5.0J8.); J. Hepburn, W. Lennane (Marist); R. Clay, J. Carson, Goodwin, S. White (Old Boys). Forwards.—Aitken, Fraser (11.5.0. B.); Bradfield (Marist), Clarke (Marist); E. McKinley, Carrington, P. McM-illan (Celtic); Scott,. Foote, J. Ingram (Old Boys). The above players are to assemble at the Oval at 7 .p.m. to-morrow for training.
