HUNT CLUB ENTERTAINS
DINNER AND DANCE WHATATUTU FUNCTION «i; (Herald Correspondent.) A very enjoyable time was spent by all; who attended the dance held by the Poverty Bay Hunt Club in. the Whatatutu Halil on Saturday night. The dance was preceded by a dinner at the Oil Springs Hotel, at which the farmers and their wives of the Whatatutu and Puha districts whose property had been hunted over during the .past hunting season, were the guqslls iof the Hunt Club. The music for the dance was supplied by Miss L. Ruru'g orchestra, extras being -contributed by -Mr. A. Seebedc and Mr. S. Penehu. Mr. J. King was the M.C.
A dainty supper was served from tables decorated With spring flowers and flowering shrub.s. Those present included 'Mrs. If. If. Dods, wearing a frock of black taffetas; Mrs, 11. Allen, petunia georgette; Mrs. C. Gaukrodger, black fantasia relieved with gold; Mrs. R. King, navy printed satin; Mrs. A. Seebeck, blue moire taffeta; Mrs. 11. Walker, blue floral georgette; Mrs. L. Tullock, black lace; Mrs. W. Hale, navy crepe with a- white spot; Mrs. J. Graham, black satin and lace; Mrs. 11. Coates, white floral, crepe; Mrs. B. Brown, black satin and floral georgette; Mrs. Barr, bladlc' satin and a white coatee; Mr§. E. Tait, floral flat crepe. Miss G. Parkinson wore midnight blue velvet; Miss B. Coggrave, black moire satin; Mrs. R. King, autumntinted floral crepe; Miss Joan Clarke, pink frosted organdie; Miss J. McKenzie, white lace; Miss V. Seymour, blub pheasant eve taffeta; Miss N. Coates, black lace; Miss N. Hansen, pale green georgette; Miss F. Hood, parchment ) -satin; Miss T. Tidswell, rose pink taffeta. Miss M. Park’s frock was of golden brown velvet; Miss. J.. Campbell, rose taffeta; Miss Joyce Clark, printed crepe-dc-chinc; Miss A. Barrow, cerise taffeta; Miss M. Tait, mustard crepe; Miss D. Hansen, floral chiffon; Miss L. Shaw, -tangerine crepe; Miss R. Boynton, electric blue satin; Miss F. Drummond, floral satin; -Miss M. Tonk-s, scarlet satin; .Miss". 7. Rodgers, red •s.a'tin and a- gold lame coatee; Miss .M. Robin, black crinkle crepe; Miss L. Ruru, red satin, with -a black coatee.
