“VERY LITTLE TO SAY”
MRS. NASH RETURNS HOME MINISTER’S BUSY TIME (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A lady with very little to say on the liner Monterey this morning was Mrs. Walter Nash, 'wife cf the Minister of Finance. “I had a lovely trip, but there is very little I can say. ’lt was my husband who went on business, not I, said Mrs. Nash. She 'was enthusiastic over the 'hospitality of the English people, who were very kind indeed. “I am glad to be home, though,” she added. Mrs. Nash intends to remain at Auckland until the arrival of her husband from England, via America. Mr. Nash’s -private secretary, Mr. T. R. Aicken, also returned toy the Monterey accompanied toy his wife. Mr. -Aicken said the- Minister was extremely busy from the day of his arrival in- London, meeting deputations. Ministers, groups of 'business men and others -in -connection with trade and financial- discussions, -and attending important functions. Brief visits were made to -Dublin and Nottingham and also Mr. Nash’s home town, Kidderminster, where iMr. Nash met a group of carpet manufacturers, but he was unable to take part in social engagements. During the negotiations the Minister was assisted 'by Dr. R. M. Campbell, economic adviser on the staff of the New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, 'and 'Mr. R. Susiley, financial officer in ’the -Treasury branch of the High Commissioner’s office.
