'PHONE CALL TO HOSPITAL
AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL MESSAGE CONVEYED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The sympathy of Auckland Citizens with the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, in this illness; and 1 their hope that the would speedily be restored to health and strength, was conveyed to ithe Lewisham Hospital by telephone last night. A resolution ‘in these terms was .passed toy the City Council and arrangements were made by the Mayor, Sir Ernest Davis, for its immediate transmission to Mr. Savage in Wellington. FOURTEEN DAYS’ LEAVE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Fouiiteeni days leave of absence was granted toy the House of Representatives yesterday to the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, on account of his 'illness.
