Y.M.C.A.’S EARLY SCORING WAITUHI’S SECOND HALF Y.M.C.A. .. 4 goals Waituhi 1 Y.M.C. made short work of Waituhi in the first spell on Saturday, tout the Maoris recovered somewhat in the second, and held the competition in heir own half for a great deal of the l ime. The Y.M.C.A. forwards worked particularly well together in the first half, W. Swan showing a great improvement and K. Harrison in top form. The halves all played up to form, with Crosby doing a great deal of work. The defence wah as steady as ever.

In the first half the Waituhi defence was unable to cope with the Y.M.C.A. tactics, but in the second Waititi got going properly at fullback, with Tupara playing a roving game. P. Smiler and Kingi were among the best of the forwards.
