Y.M.C.A. AGAIN DEFEAT OF WAITUHI HEAVY SCORING SPELL WOMEN’S GAMES DRAWN HAAPU ROSE BOWL MATCH Y.M.C.A. maintained their fourpoint lead in the Poverty Bay Hockey itssoeiation’s men’s A grade competition on Saturday by defeating Waituhi decisively after a heavy-scoring first half. No changes occurred in the positions of the teams. Muriwai increased their lead to 10 points in the men’s B grade by defeating Wesleyan, while High School A went into second place after a good display against Y.M.C.A., who lost by two goals to nil. Both games in the women’s A grade were drawn. This was the first occasion in which Hinenui had failed to gain a win this season, and their match with Mahaki was for the Haapu Rose Bowl, in addition to being an ordinary club game.
