TOKOMARU BAY NEWS

WOMEN'S DIVISION PARTY

(Herald Correspondent.)

A very enjoyable afternoon was leld at the carved meeting house recently, when the Tokomaru Bay branch of the Women’s Division of the Fanners’ Union celebrated its ■econd birthday. The time passed pleasantly with community singing, while vocal items were given by the Mangatuna visitors, members of the Tokomaru Bay Institute, and Mrs. R. Patene.

A delicious afternoon tea was served buffet style. The birthday cake, made by Mrs. S. Bruce and iced by Mrs. H. Newton, was cut by the president of the Women’s Institute, Mrs. J. Williams.
