MOTOR BUS DEPARTMENT
Fares collected for the fortnight ended July 1G by the borough bus department totalled £283, as against £290 for the corresponding period in 1933. Subsidies and specials yielded a further £B, as against £9 5s for last year. Sales of benzine were substantially higher at £37 15s, and mileage run was slightly greater at 6070, the aveiage earniftgs per mile being U.sod as compared with 11.97 d for last year. Passengers carried numbered 27,913. the number for the corresponding 'period being 26,774.
