HERMAN IN TANGANYIKA LONDON, July 11. A German, Kurt Modrach, on arriving from Germany, was fined £4O for evading the Customs, says the Dar cs Salaam (Tanganyika) correspondent of the Times. He had painstakingly hidden in his 20 luggage boxes three pistols, three rifles, GOO rounds of revolver ammunition and 4000 rounds of rifle ammunition. . 1
