PRICES UP TO £ll A successful dispersal sale was held at the Opotiki saleyards on behalf of Mr. P. McGivern, Waiawa. The herd was in good condition, and competition was keen, the principal buyers being from Whakatane, 52 of the cows going to that district. Cows due to calve early averaged £lO 4s, calved cows £7 Bs, and in-calf heifers £5 16s. Forward young cows, in good condition, made £lO to £11; five aged cows, £5 15s to £8; late calvers, £G to £7 10s; in-calf heifers, small, but good' quality, £5 10s to £G as Gd. On behalf of Messrs. Reid Bros, a nice line of choice two-year in-calf Jersey heifers made from £7 17s Gd to £8 2s Gd. Cows on account of the same vendors made £8 2s Gd.On account of other clients dairy cows, August calvers, made £5 5s to £9
