DOING WELL IN ENGLAND J. G. Lush and J. Walsh, well known to New Zealanders, are doing well with Sir Julien Calm's cricke 'team in England. Up to the be- | ginning of June. Walsh, who is proving one of the best left-handed ■ bowlers in England, had taken 54 wickets at an average of nine. Lush, in five innings, took 17 wickets at an average of 9.8. He has a batting average Of 63. Lush, who is an opening fast bowler, has paved the way for most of Walsh’s successes. Against Bedfordshire and D. Vaughan’s eleven, he took the first four wickets, and against Notts and Derbyshire the first three. On each occasion Walsh took the remaining wickets.
