BOWLERS FROM DOMINION FIN ANCE UNCE RT AIN (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Difficulty in arranging the transfer of funds to finance a visit to San Francisco is 'being experienced by bowlers in various parts of New Zealand) who wish to compete at the Golden Gate Exposition September tournament. Consequently, a number of bowlers have abandoned their plans and others are uncertain. "It is possible that four or five \ rinks from New Zealand will make the trip, provided the transfer of funds can be arranged,” said Mr. George Gladding, secretary of the Auckland Bowling Centre to-day. He added; that only one rink had been able to complete arrangements and it would leave Auckland on July 24. Any other rinks would have to leave not falter than August 8. Rinks in doubt include one from Palmerston North, a second from Auckland, and one or two from the South Island
The Auckland rink which is sailing consists of A. J. Parker, former Auckland club champion, skip. W. Denison, joint holder with L. Macey of the world’s pairs title, W. E. Hunt, a former Helensville champion, and J. L. Morgan, last year’s champion, \ Kelburn. Wellington. i
