YOUTH WITH RIFLE lit 'Toll! "A ST< il.'M Charged with breaking and entering and theft, a youth appeared before Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M.. in the Rotorua Children's Court: last week, and was placed under the control of the Child Welfare Department. The charges were lire sequel to the arrest of the youth in the premises of J. E. Thomas, Limited, hardware and sports goods dealers.

While on his rounds the nightwatchman. Mr. G. Jackson, found a door at the rear of the premises open, and heard someone, moving about hi the building. Hi l summoned Constable Kilgoitr, who entered the building, and found the youth hiding behind the counter. The youth had in his possession a light sporting rifle, which was loaded.
