SUBSIDISED FREIGHT CHARGES

The freight on sawn timber from New Zealand ports to South Afrioa under the subsidised steam service has been fixed at <3s per hundred feet superficial plus ten per cent primage and subject to a rebate of 2h per cent. The rates from New Zealand to Freemantle were fixed as follows :—Oats and barley 28/3d per ton of 2212 lbs, potatoes in bags 28/8, wheat and flour 21/6 ton of 20001bs, bran 28/3d, general cargo 28/- per ton. Weight or measurement at ship's option without primage and prepaid or payable forward at shippers option.
