GREYMOUTH TROTTING CLUB.
Yesterday was perfect weather for the meeting, and the attendance was probably larger than on any other occasion. The sport was really good, all going well till the trouble occurred over galloping in the Grcymouth Handicap. Over this protest a deal of time was lost, and the locking up of £715 in the machine had a detrimental effect. The two juvenile races were a trifle tame, but this to be expected for the first trial. As time proceeds, there events will be among the more interesting on the programme. The amount put 'through the machine was £2,953. The events were as follows 1. TRIAL HANDICAP (saddle) of 25 sovs, second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stake.
