THE JANET WALDORF SEASON.
A crowded house greeted the above company last night when Dumas’ drama ‘Camille’ was staged. Unlike the previous night’s entertainment, the drama was of the heavy emotional character, and right well were the various characters portrayed. Miss Waldorf in the character of Camille displayed great histronio ability in the trying ordeal, portraying the various stages of a self-denying life with great faithfulness and power. As Armad Duval, Mr M'Gregor was equally successful!, taking the part of the impassioned lover and subsequently grief-stricken born with an immensity of feeling and pathos. The concluding scene was particularly ttying to the audience, the death of Camille in the arms of her lover being very pathetic indeed. The characters throughout were excellently sustained.
To-night the company appear in ‘Tngomar,’’ which will be under the patronage of the Right Hon R. J. Seddon and party
