THE ARIADNE CASE.

Christchuj ch, December 12.
Cassidy and Joynt who appeared for Freke and Kerry charged with conspiracy in the Ariadne cases applied to Judge Danniston in chambers this morning for a postponement of the hearing of the case, on account of the Crown's intention to produce nine new witnesses, one from England, six from Sydney and two in the colony. Stringer for the Crown opposed 3n the grounds that sufficient notice had been given to the accused and the evidence was not new, but merely corroborate of former evidence.
His Honor granted the poetponemen from 17th inst to 13th January.
