Received this day, at 10 15 a.m. Meliioubne, Dec 6

At the resumed meeting of the Chillagoe Company, the Chairman pointed out that what seemed to be the opinion was that the directors were bound to provide £50,000 to save reputations, but could not admit that for a moment. The directors would contribute their full share of the new capital required, but could not consistently with self respect made n special advance. At the next half-yearly meeting they would place their resignations at the disposal of the shareholders. Eventually the directors were given full power to raise the new capital.
