The Chairman's statement showed that the outlay was close upon £600,000 and the liabilities upwards of £500,000. They required to spend another £71,000 before the position could be improved. If the shareholders did not accept the proposal, the only alteration was to construct. A hundred and fifty miners have been thrown out of work at Mount Usher through a miscreant blowing a winding drum to pieces with dynamite.
