WRECK OF THE “ARIADNE.”
Captain Before the Court. [per press association,]
Christchurch, This Day. George Mumford, the master of the sailing yacht “ Ariadne " when wrecked at Waitaki on March 24th, was charged at the. Police Court this morning with easting away the vessel and was remanded till Monday. Bail was allowed accused in £2OO and two surities of £I,OOO each. Accused was arrested at Lyttelton yesterday afternoon, and it is understood that simultaneous arrests in connection with the same affair were made elsewhere.
