TORPEDO BOAT DISASTER.

London, September 21. The Cobra was only transfered to the Admiralty on Tuesday.
The King forwarded a message expressing the deepest heartfelt sympathy with the relatives of the drowned. The evidence taken at the inquest showed that tho Cobra was going dead slow and big seas were running in about ten fathoms of water when the shock tvas felt that broke her back. She buckled and settled down amidships. There was no time to properly launch v boats. The dinghy was swung overboard with its canvas covering intact, but was only reached by swimming, the 13 survivors ripping the covering. The Cobra’s stem and stern met together in the air, and as she sank the stern part alone was seen to founder.
