Hordarn’s Insurances. Sydney, September 21. The adjustment of Hordern’s insurance claims, which approximated £300,000 and were distributed over 43 offices, have been completed. It took Sam Hordern ten hours signing tho claims, having to append his name 1,700 times. Excepting Whiteby’s of London, Hordern’s was the record for a single fire insurance demand. Railway Enquiry. Melbourne, September 21. A Board of Enquiry found the signalman primarily responsible for the Jolimont railway accident and the driver of the down train to a less degree of blame.
