[her PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT.] Alarming Change for the Worse,
Received this day at 9 4 a m. Washington, September 18. A bulletin at three yesterday morning gave M’Kinley’s condition as very serious and the gravest apprehensions are entertained. The patient does not respond to stimulation.
Particulars show that an alarming change for the worse occurred at two o’clock, following on the failure of the digestive organs. A slight rally occurred about four, when the Cabinet and friends were summoned.
James Coilson, Secretary of Agriculture declared that at six o’clock M'Kinley was still fighting for life, and had a chance.
