GREY COUNTY COUNCIL.
Tuesday, September 3.
The Council resumed at 11.80 o’clock. Cr. Marshall moved that the attention of the Puhlic Works Department be drawn to tho disgraceful state of the Orwell Creek road, and it be asked to sea that same is put in proper order before the Council takes it over. Cr. Hargrave* seconded. Carried.
Gr. Eyall moved that the Chairman o* the Harbor Board be waited on to see why a gas lamp had not been erected at the quarry. The deputation to consist of the mover, Harris and Marshall. Carried. Or. Eyall moved that the Council construct a footpath from the quarry to Ms. Stone’s residence. Carried.
Cr. Hargraves moved that Mr Glaughesey forthwith be required to enter into hi* contract, in regard to the Blackball ferry.. Carried.
In the regard to the application of JV Delaney relative to larger station accommodation, it was decided to grant the= request on condition that the Twelve Mile people make no objection. Cr. Byall moved that the Government be written to in regard to the completion of the Nine Mile bluff road, pointing out its present dangerous state. Cr. Hargreaves seconded. Carried. Cr. M'Oarthy moved that the Engineer be instructed to repair the track from Crooked River to Bell Hill. The cost not to exceed £2O. Carried.
Resolved that the next meeting of the Council be held on the fourth Wednesday in October (23rd).
