London, August 15. Iha lead imports were 17,807 tons, and from Australia 3,040 tons. The exports were 4,385 tons. Tin on spot is £lls- 15s, three months £lll sa.
The American visible supply of wheat la 38,950,000 bushels.
London, August 16. The wheat markets are firm and steady, and the American is hardening owing to decreased official estimates of spring crops. Cargoes of Victorian and New South Wales (August and September shipments) realised 29s 9d. The Inverclyde’s New Zealand cargo was sold at 28s 3d.
Copper is improving. On spot, £65 10s ; three months, £66 10s. Tin is quiet. On spot, £12010s; three months. £ll6.
Iron, 60s IOJd. Sugar, German, 8s 7-|d; first marks, 10s 9a } market weaker.
Bradford wool is very firm and prices unchanged.
