The Government "Weather Bureau considers it is likely to last a month. The total list of mortality reached 1060 in New York up to yesterday. Though firemen hosed passing horses 250 died in the streets of New York.
The public cars are stopped, and the hospital resources are exhausted. Business is at a standstill and factories closed. Buildings are almost abandoned, and millionaires appear in the streets coatless and laborers in gymnastic attire. Niw Yobe, July 3. Two hundred and twenty-five deaths occurred at .New York on Tuesday, and 196 in other cities. The brokers have to close the Exchange at New York till Monday.
