The New Hebrides Question. Beceived this day at 10 a.m. Melbourne, This Day.
Barton informed the House that the Now Hebrides question was under the kindly and favourable consideration of the Imperial Government. He was not at liberty to say more owing to the confidential nature of the negotiations. Replying to a query by a memb-.-r, Barton stated that he had requested the Imporial Government to hold a consultation with Australia beforo arriving at any determination in respect to the Pacific Islands.
