Greymouth Live Stock Market.
Messrs G. W. Moss and Co report yesterday sale of horses at Ashton's stables as follows : —The entry consisted of 13 horses of which 10 were from N Island and Canterbury districts being the best draft offered on the Coast for some time. The imported horses realised high prices. Several locally owned were unsold. Wo placed from the Canterbury district heavy draught mare 6 year old £SO ; draught geldings (aged) £4O, £4B and £52 10s.
We have 10 heavy draughts arriving from Canterbury district for sale on Monday. For full particulars see advertisement.
Mark Sprot and Co report holding a most successful sale of horses at Ashton’s stables yesterday. Best heavy draught geldings fetched £6 to £53 ; four year old filly, £52; 3 year colt, £42 ; aged draught, £22.
