The Affair at O’Neil’s Farm.

London, April 5.
Six thousand Canadian horses are being shipped in the Portland Maine for South Africa.
The Boers near O’Neill's farm were resting under Majuba. They numbered five hundred. A portion were sent to wreck the train and were successful. Word, however, was conveyed to the British at Mount Prospect station, and IGO Grenadier Guards walked along the railway lino and surprised the looters who retreated.
Despite tho fire from the British Rides and a gun on Laing’s Nek the retreating Boers fought their way over Shoulder Range and rejoined their companions near O’Neill’s farm.
The Grenadiers hotly pursued tho enemy and made capital fight.
The Mounted Rifles from Yolksrust caught the retreating Boers on the flank and four of the enemy including Field Cornet Burge were killed.
