A LABOUR CONFERENCE.

[per press association.] Chiustcuurch, March. 27 A conference was held this evening between tho delegates from the Canterbury Employers Association and tho Trades and Labour Council. The object was to discuss a proposal from tho employers that a joint committee bo sot up to consider trade disputes, so as 13 avoid reference to the Arbitration Court. It was decided that the delegates bring before both organisations the proposal set up for a joint board, consisting of a certain number of delegates from each body to discuss questions affecting them, with the object of bringing about friendly relations between employers and employed.
