ACCIDENT OR SUICIDE.

The Takaka correspondent of the “Mail" wires that on Sunday morning at daybreak Constable Mac Kay was informed of the mystcrous disappearance of Mrs John Watson, from her home at Motupipi. Seai’ch parties were at once formed resulting in the dead body of a woman in several feet of water, in a creek about a mile from her house.
The previous night was extremely dark and a strong northerly wind was blowing accompanied by torrents of rain, which caused the creek, which is generally dry to be flooded. Evidence was given of the deceased having taken carbolic in some form. Family fends are said to be the cause.
