A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
Wk mentioned some time ago that steps were being taken to form an Agricultural and Pastoral Association at Greymouth. The matter was picked up by a few gentlemen, and one of their number was deputed to get all the necessary information from like societies. Such required data is now to band, and a meeting has been convened for Thursday, March 14th, when all desirous of joining are requested to attend. Already a large number of persons have signified their intention of becoming members. It is to bo hoped the farmers from the Grey Valley will attend the initial meeting and make the Society a complete success. It is proposed to include the mining and timber industry, and if all goes well hold the first show at Greymouth on November Bth and Ofch, when it is believed that, well managed, a capital display can be made.
