THE CONWAY CASE.

Jane Smith, 82, understood to be a resident of Duncdin, was remanded at the Police Court to tho 18th on a charge of being concerned in causing the death of P Conway, meanwhile it appears that there will be a coroner's inquest on Friday. There is a rumor which, however, lacks official confirmation, that the analyst found strychnine contained in the stomach Smith, who is charged with being concerned in tho death of Conway, is described as a married woman. The police aro in possession of what they consider strong circumstantial evidence, and startling revelations are expected at the inquest. It is understood that cxidence will be submitted at tho inquest bearing upon transactions between Smith and Conway in regard to certain promissory notes and a bill-of-sale. The money and valuables in Conway's possession aboard the Talune, and which it was alleged disappeared are stated to bo worth between £3OO and £IOO. ■
