The Cabinet has decided that the Yorks be asked to lay the foundation stone of the House, Centennial Park, where the remains and memorials of statesmen and others, whoso memories are cherished, can be kept.' Tho first wing will be set apart for troops who fell in South Africa.
Melbourne, This Day.
Seventeen thousand pounds have been set apart for illumination at the celebrations. It is estimated that the decoration in the streets apart from buildings, will cost £IO,OOO.
Various nations arc undertaking to decorate streets and blocks.
