A KUMARA WEDDING.

A pretty, wedding, says the “ Times, ” was solemnised at Holy Trinity Church, Kumara. yesterday morning by the Rev. E. Whitehouse, when Miss Lucy Cox, second daughter of Mr Charles Cox, miner of Greenstone, was united to Mr Joseph Goad, eldest son of Mr Joseph Goad, of Dillmanstown. The bride, who looked charming, was attired in a dress of cream cashmere, trimmed with cream satin, chiffon, and pearl trimmings, and wore a picture hat. She also carried a beautiful shower bouquet. She was given away by her father. Miss Sarah Cox (sister of the bride) and Miss Amy Goad (sister of the bridegroom! were the bridesmaids, and Mr George Goad (brother of the bridegroom) acted as best man. Miss Cox wore a cream serge dress with trimmings of cream satin, insertion and fringe with cream. Leghorn hat to match, and Miss Amy Goad wore a dress of white hail muslin and hat to match. Both also carried very pretty bouquets. After the ceremony the happy couple and a number of guests drove to the residence of the bride’s parents at Greenstone, where the wedding breakfast was partaken of and the usual toasts were honoured. The happy couple were the recipients of a large number of useful presents from their friends, and also received numerous good wishes for their future welfare. Showers of rice were thrown at the newly wedded couple on leaving the church. We wish our young friends many years of happy wedded life.
