THE LATE FRANK HAMILTON.
We regret to announce the death of Frank Hamilton, of Nelson, and for many years a resident of Greyinouth. The deceased gentleman came to Invoreargill in 1861 whero ho commenced business. On the discovery of gold on the West Coast he came to Greymouth whore in conjunction with Mr. Nicol he started the well-known firm of " Hamilton and Nicol" and for many years carried on the principal business here. About sixteen years ago he purchased the large business of Buxton and Co., of Nelson, where he continued till his death. Mr. Hamilton was broad and liberal in his ideas, a good man in any community, kindly, staunch and true, and will be much missed in Nelson where he %vas, as hero, well known and respected. He loaves a wife and family behind him.
