LARGE FIRE IN WELLINGTON.

Wellington This Day. Two three story warehouses in Willis street, those of Wrigglesworth and Binns, photographers, and the Singer Sewing Machine Company were totally destroyed by fire, which broke out at five this morning. It is presumed to have started in the middle floor of "Wrigglcworth’s, at the back. Luckily there was a dead calm, and the Fire Brigade was able to prevent a further spread of the flames to the adjoining buildings. Insurances are Wrigglesworth and Binns on building owned by Jacob Joseph £I6OO in Commercial Union, with reinsurances of .£2OO in London and Lancasshire, 4)150 in Victoria and £SOO South British. Singer building, also owned by Joseph £2500 in Commercial Union, reinsured to the extent of £250 in Sun Fire, £250 Alliance, £l5O Standard, £2OO London and Lancashire, £250 Australian Alliance, £250 Norwich Union, £250 Liverpool London and Glodc. Contents "Wrigglesworth and Binns insured for £4OO in Alliance, and £l5O in Standard. Contents Singers said to ho insured in Sydney office.
