Fire at Giaborne. Gisborne, This Day. The furniture manufactory of John Towley, Mayor of Gisborne Mias destroyed by fire. It was insured for £250 in the Northern Company. Largo stock and the valuable contents averc uninsured. Townsley is a heavy loser. Earthquake at Nelson. Wellington, January.lß. A sharp earthquake was felt at three minutes past ten. The direction was north and south.
