GREYMOUTH JOCKEY CLUB.
The usual mooting of the Greyraoufch Jockey Club was hold at the Club room, Albion Hotel, last night. Present: —Messrs M'Kay (chairman). Walton, Gieseking, Claughesy, Bignell, and Smith. The programmo for the March meeting was considered, and finally approved of.
A letter was received from Chap. O'Connor, of Christchurch, offering his service? for the position of starter at tho Greymouth and Reefton meetings. After some discussion it was decided to leave the matter in the hands of tho Secretary, who i g to communicate with the Reefton Club, in order to find out whether that body ■would bo agreeable to a change. The balance-3hcet of th? Kumara Club # was adapted as was also tho programme for tho next race meeting. Leave of absence for throe months was cranted to Mr G. W. Moss, so as to enable him to visit tho North Island. Tho Autumn meeting will be held on Saturday and Monday, the 16th and 18 th «* Mnra'b. Tn all there are fourteen races, the added money being ,£620. Tho following is the list : Trial Stakes Handicap of 40 sovs. Six furling". Paroa Hack Race of 25 sovs. On© mile.
