DRUIDS SOCIAL.
On Wednesday evening the Druids commenced 1901 with a very successful and enthusiastic meeting. The D. P. Bro. Wainwright, assisted by P. Bro. M'Oaul, installed the officers who were absent from last meeting, The following are the officers for the ensuing term A, D. Bro. E. Ashton, V. A. Bro. J, Rogers, Secretary Bro. H. E. West, Treasurer J. M'Brearty, Y. A. B’s Bros. Ainsworth and J. Noble. Y. A. Bros Redmond and Craig, J. G. Bro. Scott" O. G. Bro. J. Chase, and T. P. A. Bro. J. M'Brearty, It Was resolved unanimously. to support Bro. for s*Jiommation m-o —-*"L President for the ensuing term, Three new members were initiated. Arrangements were made for providing amusement on Lodge evening. A grant of money was made in a ; -\of a distressed brother. The D. P„ on 'behalf of the Lodge, presented P. A. Bro. J. Chase with a handsomely framed diploma. In the course of an able address the D, P, urged on the members the necessity of being present at every meeting if possible, and pointed out the many advantages to be obtained not only by becoming members, but by being active members. Bro Chase thanked the Lodge for their kind present, and said he thoroughly endorsed the D.P.’s remarks. The Lodge then closed for business, but the members remained behind and spent a very pleasant hour among themselves, There was a plentiful supply of light refreshments and toast, song and recitation quickly followed each other. In fact, with Bro. Ashton in the chair, members have no occasion to complain of waiting Everything went off well and Anld Lang Syne closed a very pleasant meeting at 10 30 p.m.
