The Consul General in Australia for toe Netherlands received a telegram this morning from General Van Rees, Gov-enor-General of the Dutch East Indies, reporting that Asiatic cholera had broken out in ivoepang, an I land off Timon, in, the Arafura Sea, and that it had become an epidemic in the island. Messrs Synonot Brothers, wool brokeis ol this city have issued a circular in which a proposal is made to convene a meeting for the purpose of taking steps to promote the exportation of wool from Australia to China and Japan.
