The Weather.
Captain Edwin wired at noon to-day : — Wind between north and west and southwest at all places south of Thames and Manukau, and between north-east and east and south from thence south to Lyttelton and Kaikoura, and between northeast and north and west elsewhere. Barometer rise at all places north of the Thames and Manukau, but falling again after 16 hours . Strong westerly winds are to be expected at all places north of the Thames and Manukau, 6trong easterly winds thence south to Castle Point and Wanganui. Moderate northerly winds elsewhere.
