Labour Troubles at Home.

(Per Press Association) London, October 7. The Employers of the London Ship* builders and Engineers who bad decided to give the eight hoars system, a trial hare reverted to nine hoars as a day's labour. They notify that the 8 hours system proved unsatisfactory and deolare the ucion made farther encroach* ments and forced the employers to form an association in order to proteot their trade.

The Engineering employers in a letter to the Workmen's Council state a meating between representatives of the masters and men at the present juncture is likely to be misconstrued. The employers further state they cannot discuss the crisis with unions.
