Cheltenham Sports.
The Cheltenham sports ccmmittee met at Mr Ryan's hotel on Saturday eyening, there being a full attendance notwithstanding the unfavorable weather. Mr J. Bruce presided. The Secretary reported that financial matters were in a nourishing condition. A letter was received from Mr F. Y. Lethbndge, H.M.R., enclosing one guinea as a donation towards the funds, and a vote of thanks was passed accordingly ; other special prizes were received from Messrs J. Bruce, Kirton and Curtis, W. D. Banks, and W- Evensen. The programme was drawn up and it was decided to give £50 in prizes. Mr Niccols was appointed starter and Mr G. Watson handicapper. Jt was decided to offer the privileges by tender apd the matter was left for the secretary to deai with. It was resolved to hold a grand ball in the public hall in the evening, and an efficient committee was appointed to carry out necessary arrangements. It was decided to alter the date of the sports to March 3, by request from all parts of the district. The programme will appear in to-morrow's : issue of the &TAp.
